AIR CONDITIONING
If you constantly find your E-Type to be too hot in the Summer, and too cold in the Winter, then our standard fresh air conditioning system can relieve you of these issues. By replacing the original heater unit with this system, air is drawn from the bonnet in the same way before venting heated / evaporated air in to the car via the plenum chamber. It also provides necessary dehumidification in wet weather thanks to its much more powerful heater and fan.
All of our Air-Conditioning installations come armed with a handful of our very own bespoke modifications including discreet underdash vents which can be vinyl trimmed to match your E-Types interior colour, a modern alternator, and a bespoke handmade loom that runs in conjunction with a standard loom. All associated pipework is routed correctly and secured with original style strapping.
Finishing off the unit we have installed a handmade switch panel next to the steering wheel with two operating switches with warning lights - on/off for the air conditioning and radiator fan override. On a trip to Italy we had a radiator switch failure so since then we now wire in the radiator fan to a manual override switch. We wanted the unit to look in-keeping with the rest of the car so we chose to copy the style of the hazard warning light switch.
